By the year of 2050 more than 150 million people will have been forced to leave their homes as a direct consequence of global warming.
The 400 metre long container ship Maersk Majetic has been transformed into the worlds largest floating refugee camp and has been sent out to evacuate some of the thousands of islanders whose former homes has sunken into the sea as a result of the rising sea levels.
The ship is planed to be a temporary shelter transporting the refugees to the nearest mainland but as the refugee conventions does not protect ’climate refugees’, asylum is rejected everywhere.
Trapped on the ship with limited resources the islanders begin adapting and inhabiting their new ”island”.
